Do you know what you'll be missing if you don't attend the 2006 Pan American Internationals in Miami, Florida the weekend of November 3-4, 2006? Let's check out the run down...
On Friday, November 3 at 3:00 p.m. you can learn from one of the best in the business at the Anthony Price sparring seminar. Mr. Price is a legend in the sport and is still a top competitor today. He's also the father and trainer of his daughter, top female fighter Nancy Price. His knowledge is invaluable and he will share it with you at this seminar - something no fighter should miss.
The Pan Americans is offering team sparring divisions for everybody with cash prizes for the adult teams. In the 18 and over men's team sparring division, the top team will walk away with $1000. For the executive (30 and over) men and women's team sparring divisions, the winning team will receive 100% of all entry fees collected for the division - a big kickback from the tournament promoter! There are even two youth team sparring divisions based on age. For juniors, the three players are 12-13, 14-15 and 16-17 of any rank on a team. For the kids, the three slots are divided into 7 and under, 8-9 and 10-11, also for any rank.
Of course the Pan Americans are offering the normal NASKA grand championship sparring divisions for men and women but, as is offered each year, the Pan Americans provides a special WKF sparring option for men. The WKF Superfights are for all males 16 and over who want to compete for an additional $1000 prize. With two weight class divisions (169 and under and 170 and over), both with a $1000 prize for the overall winner, this means all fighters get lots of chances to fight and lots of chances at prize money. Even better, the WKF sparring divisions are double elimination which means even if you don't win the overall money, you still get your money's worth in fighting!
Fighters can get even more excited with additional continuous sparring competition for adults and kids - all ranks. And, warm up your grappling muscles for special Brazilian Ju-Jitsu grappling divisions at the event.
International competition is also a highlight at the Pan American Internationals (doesn't the name say it all?). Teams from many Central and South American countries are expected. If you haven't experienced the talent from the Venezuelan fighters, you need to get to the Pan Americans to see it in person!
Where is this event that provides something for everyone you ask? It's in the heart of Miami, about 20 miles from Miami Beach and only a short (and FREE) shuttle ride from the Miami International airport to the Sheraton Hotel (305) 261-3800.
